**Synopsis:**

A coffee shop, a newspaper, and a window table make the unlikely battleground between two senior citizens. Eddie, who fights through tough times with trust, laughter, faith, and comforting routine meets... Joe, an angry and bitter man, wounded physically and emotionally, who sees no rhyme or reason to life and has resigned himself to a fearful view of uncontrollable fate. Both buttheads over the table and newspaper, but their bullheadedness is what pushes them through the conflict and into a friendship. As days pass, they open up to each other, sharing bits of lives lived, joys remembered, and agonies endured. Eddie's life contrasts to Joe's, who notices and begins to probe why their lives are different. Eddie, with a shrug, shares his faith in a plain, unique way which stings Joe's fatalism and unbelief. But Joe has seen too much truth to reject the validity of Eddie's life. One day, Eddie doesn't show up at the cafe. A few days later a woman from Social Services approaches Joe as he sits at the table he shared with Eddie. Eddie has passed away. The woman hands Joe a stuffed manila envelope written across the front - "GIVE TO JOE AT THE CAFE AROUND 9:30 ANY MORNING. SITS BY THE WINDOW. HE’LL KNOW WHAT TO DO." Joe reads Eddie's self-written obituary as the window becomes the cafe which becomes one of the buildings on one of the streets which flow together making the massive city landscape
