Owen's Paintings
I've been drawing & painting (pencil, pastels, watercolors-{watercolors are my favorite}) since I was a little boy
True Funny Story: by the time I was about 10, I had already drawn hundreds of pictures in pencil because that's all we could afford. I entered a drawing contest and won. The contest people came to my home & wanted to sign me up. My Dad told them he couldn't afford the small amount he would need to pay (back then in the early 70's, it was legit for a school to pay everything, the only thing the artist [if they were 18 or over] or the artists parents had to cover was getting there). I was so upset that I took all those drawings & burned them in my Grandfather's backyard-fire-barrel LOL LOL LOL. Looking back on it today, I was like "WHY DID I BURN THEM!?!" LOL LOL
Anyway, 50 years later Jesus delivered me out from a very very dark place in my life - PRAISE GOD. With that said, these paintings below are never ever for sale. I do give them away as I'm lead to. I paint these and add scripture verses from God's word for Jesus because as I said, these paintings are a result of a dark place I was delivered out from
I'm the type of artist that's called a photorealist. I reproduce things in my own photo-realistic style. The photorealist uses photographs and similar reference materials as source to create as realistic a representation as possible in another medium. Example: the late Bob Ross was an American artist / art instructor. He taught technique; not copying. No different than someone learning technique at any art school under the guidance of the Art Instructor (of course it helps if you were born gifted)

I follow several different artists who paint however, I only follow artists who teach technique but discourage from copying the same exact painting while they paint. As each teaching artists say - "follow a teaching artists technique but, make the painting your own" After you've put in like 5+ years technique, you'll be able to paint anything with-out a teacher

FYI: All artists draw or depict what they see, whether it’s internal or external
More paintings coming soon :)
